As an architect of your child’s education, you can refer to the Bible as your blueprint. The Apostle Peter’s words below may guide us to the building blocks out of which we can establish a sustaining structure for our children to grow upon, develop, strengthen, and thrive.
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.” (2 Peter 1: 5-7)
In order for your child to stand strong and whether any hardship, he must have a solid foundation on which to build: faith. To cultivate faith in your child, he must see your faith work in you. Think about what activities and surroundings help you personally feel closer to God. Then try to maintain your focus daily by immersing yourself in them. Your heart, mind, and soul will reap the benefits and joy such focus brings!
